Though None Go With Me starring Cheryl Ladd!

I watched this 2006 release movie again last night. If you liked the Notebook by Nicholas Sparks, You'll like Though None Go With Me, by Jerry B. Jenkins.
I'll have to warn you, you may want to have some Kleenex handy, but everyone needs a good cry every now and then. The movie really helps put some perspective on the losses we go through in a lifetime.
There is more about the movie on the IMDb website and even some clips on YouTube.Check out the preview on YouTube!
The movie has some great messages! And it brings back an old favorite: Cheryl Ladd! Enjoy and let me know how you like it!

Puss in Boots

Well, I had quite a treat last evening: taking my 8 year old daughter and her 7 year old cousin to see Dreamworks new animated movie, Puss in Boots. It was very enjoyable and gave new background information for one of Shrek's side kicks. It introduced some new characters and the most amazing thing about the movie for me was the graphics. The action was great and the colors were great, but just the detail in the graphics of the more human looking characters, I originally thought some were actually people in costume. And some of the  previews for future movies were even more impressive and realistic in regards to the animated people looking very real. Their detail in their faces, down to the warts and hairs, were uncanny. The story line was well done, well thought out and was humorous and enjoyable. Great family flick. Just take plenty of cash and use all the discounts you can find, because today they get you at the box office and the concession stand!
Let me know what you thought of it, and recommend your favorite movies below.

Cinderella

Do you know haw many versions of Cinderella there are?
Some of the best are by Rogers and Hammerstein! Many are available online on DVD for rent and for sale.
One of my favorite versions has one of my favorite actresses in 1957 in one of here earliest parts: Julie Andrews, even before Sound of Music! This was broadcast on TV Live in color, and thought to be lost, but found in black and white and produced on DVD today. Really a must see.
Next it was produced with Leslie Ann Warren in 1965. Then, finally in 1997 with Brandy Norwood as Cinderella, and Whoopi Golberg. Of course there is the cartoon versions, including Disney's 1950 movie now considered a classic, that has been followed by 2 direct to video sequels: Cinderella II: Dreams Come True in 2002, and Cinderella II: A twist in Time in 2007.
All of these movies are good to do in a series of nostalgia with the kids, especially this time of year, but please search out some of the original classics. The music is phenomenal and inspirational. As I piece together more info I will try to add to this blog. As you watch them please check back and leave some comments for others.
Thanks for looking!

Courageous! A Must See!

A friend and I went to see Courageous a few weeks ago and the theater was packed! And we soon found out why. It was a great movie with some great messages! A wonderful movie to take your teenager too, but be warned. It will challenge you to be all that you can be. Its a movie that can change you just by attending. It will be hard to leave that movie without being changed. You will challenged to strive to be the best parent you can be, and be provided with many how to's, why for's and chances for redemption for past with paths to the future. If you've seen it, please comment. If not, you need to go!
You can search the web for more information about the movie or theater locations and times in the Google box at the bottom of the page.
